The tale of two boys

"Oh." Max bit his lip and looked at him.

Matty watche him "is is going to rain so you might want to come in or go homel

Max bit his lip "Which would you rather I do?"

"I don't care not my decision to make" Matty said taking his book out.

Max looked at him and crawled into the window. "So you don't care if I come in and hang out?" he asked utterly confused

"Well you already said you weren't here to hold me" He said quietly flipping through the books.

Max nodded "Yes, But I didn't think you would like me being around anyway."

"It is a weird thing for people to be around me, I wouldn't push them away" matty said quietly.

Max bit his lip "Do you think you could help me with homework sometime?"

Matty shrugged "Um yeah I guess...I don't have very good grades anymore"

Max looked at him and said "You're still smarter then I am."

Matty shrugged "I guess" he mumbled glancing up from his book.

Max looked at him but fell silent, just watching him

Matty looked back down "what did you need help with" he said hearing te garage door opening notif that his mom was gone. He dad would be at work for a few more hours.

"Umm.. math mainly." Max said embarrasedly.

"You were always awful at math" Marty said a small hint of a smile but then it was gone.

Max nodded, giving an embarrassed smile and chuckle "haha, yea... still am, none of it ever makes sense."

"Math is easy" Matty Sid looking up to him.

Max shrugged "For some people maybe."

Matty rolled his eyes "I don't know he you suck so bad. Oh cause I used to do your homework"

Max smirked "Cause you were a great friend."

Matty nodded "yeah" he jut termed looking back to the book.

Max sighed and looked to hish ands "You always were. And I betrayed you cause I was scared."

"Not really you think what I like is gross not really betraying me"

Max shook his head "A real friend wouldn't have done that. He would've accepted you no matter what."
