Out of Time

Daniel looked at him and then Malachai. "Him not you caleb" Daniel said and lowered his bow watching with a glare. He then turned to the man dressed in robes and the small boy also on robes "I would also know who those two are" he said crossing his mucular arms.

Ryder looked at his father and then the others peeking from behind his fathers leg. He frowned at the man who asked who they are and held tighter.

Oliver watched closely still nuzzling into his friend.

The man shook his head "The Malachai is the thing set on destroying the world with his army of demons. These are A warlock and his son that I know will help you in this adventure. They are not from here, they are from a land called greyhawk from medieval times."

Grim glared at Daniel "And who are you?"

Daniel leaned on the wall looking over the small boy "how is he useful he is cowering behind his father, he is only going to be a problem. I mean really a child" Daniel scoffed and shook his head "his dad doesn't even love him" he looked at his black painted nails.

Ryder looked at him and looked sad. He moved away from his father and looked at him and then at Daniel. He rubbed his eyes and just went quiet.

Caleb rolled his eyes "Shut up. You don't even know them."
Grim growled and a black and dark purple aura started whirling around him "You need to shut your mouth. You don't know us. YOu don't know my son and you're just a bully." he toke his son's hand and lead him out of the alley

Daniel rolled his eyes "I am a fallen angle I can read emotions" he said and rolled his eyes. He then disappeared from sight glaring at the two.

Ryder stumbled "I am sowwy daddy" be said quietly his voice breaking with tears. He look g around scared at the big city and tall people. His daddy was tall and hopefully he would protect him here like he did when he was at home "c-can you carry me?" He asked quietly tears filling his eyes.

Oliver growled turning back to his demon and relaxed a bit when Daniel left.

The man teleported Grim, Ryder and Daniel all back to the alley "You five are going to have to get along. So Daniel, Get over yourself." he told them.
Caleb nodded "agreed, if we want to stand any chance of stopping N- The Malachai, we're going to want to work together."

Daniel huffed "we are leaving the kid at home when we fight. I am not dealing with a whinny kid with us that can't defend himself" Daniel said and looked at his hands and then at the others.

Oliver nodded his head agreeing with Caleb. He nuzzled into him and returned to his normal form.

Ryder held his fathers hand tightly scared again looking at the much larger people.

Grim shook his head "I can't leave my four year old home alone" he argued.

Daniel looked at him "leave him with a baby sitter then" he waved his hand. "Would you rather he die in the middle of battle" he said and looked at Grim shrugging.

"I will be okay daddy..." He said quietly and held onto his fathers hand. "I don't wanna g-et you In twuble" he said softly.

Grim looked at Ryder "are you sure?" he asked softly

Caleb watched Grim and Ryder, curious as to how their going to handle the new environment and all the new technology.

"We'll as long as you come back." He said shyly and shifted a little bit. He looked around. "T-then we can go home w-ith no weird p-people" he said glancing around holding on this father. "And y-you teach me m-more spells" he said quietly. Holding onto him.

Oliver smiled "how can you say he doesn't love him"
Daniel rolled his eyes "I said he didn't love his son not that his son didn't love him" he said looking to them.

Grim shook his head "we might just make a home here Ryder" he told him.
the man looked at them "I expect you to help these two adapt. And supply them with either a place to stay or money for them to get a place. Now I must go. I have a fight to fight on the other side of the world barrier. I will be in contact if you need me" with that the man was gone

Ryder shuffled and looked around. "I-I don't want to s-stay with him" he said shyly pointing to Daniel. He looked up to his father holding his hand with his little one. He wanted to be held Nd shield from this scary place.

Oliver smiled and whispered to Caleb " have them stay with us for a couple days. We have the pull out couch and the air mattress. We might not have clothes though" he said biting his lip.

Daniel scoffed and rolled his eyes "I will be by later call if you need anything. " he said and pushed his card into Caleb's pocket as he walked to the busy streets disappearing in the crowds.

Caleb smiled "You sure Oli? I can buy them clothes, don't worry." He glared at daniel and instead of letting him put it in his pocket he snatched it from his hand and shoved it in his own pocket. He smiled and looked at Grim "You can stay with Me and oliver. We have plenty of space and we can buy you some new clothes and stuff." he offered. Grim bit his lip. He wasnt a fan of the idea of relying on other people but he had to if him and Ryder were to survive this new world. "Alright. thank you."

Oil nodded shyly and bit his lip looking over to them. He eyed grim and then looked at Ryder "I think I can handle it" he said and stretched a bit his bones cracking.

Ryder looked up to his daddy. He stood infring and his arms went up. He wanted to be held. He wouldn't wine for it but he hopped he would. He didn't want to go into those crowds of people again.

Grim looked down at Ryder and after a moment picked him up. "Lead the way."
Caleb smirked and nodded, heading out of the alley

Ryder snuggled into him hiding his his face in his fathers large chest. His small hands finished in the robes softly and close his eyes. He let out a yawn and was soon asleep in his fathers arms.

Oliver smiled and followed after Caleb. He glanced back at grim and then looked to Caleb. He caught up and whispered in his ear "we don't know his name"

Caleb grinned and turned around, walking backward, hands shoved into his pockets. "I'm Caleb by the way and this is Oliver." Grim eyed him suspiciously. "I know. You can call me Grim." CAleb smirked "Grim huh? Not your real name I'm guessing?" Grim shook his head "It is these days. Plus, Caleb isn't yours." Caleb smirked "True."

Grim said "Ryder, or people gave him the nickname Hatchet." but he didn't even glance at the boy in his arms. Caleb turned and said "It's nice to meet you Grim, and your son"

Ryder shifted and whined snuggling further into his father.

CAleb lead Grim to one of the spare rooms and smiled softly "if you need me, not that you probably will, but I'll be out in the living room, or my room is down the hall." He went to oliver's room and knocked on the door
