Alex followed after him happily. She hoped things turned around soon.

He smiled and opened the trunk smiling.

Alex put the stuff in the trunk before going to the front and getting in.

"you excited for your date sweetie?" She asked grinning.

She nodded. "Yeah but I`m also really nervous I`ll mess something up."

"I am sure you won't. Your are gorgeous baby" he said gently "and have a great personality.

"Yeah, but I`m also a huge cluts." Alex said unsure. "What if I know something over or fall flat on my face."

"Yeah I know you are like daddy" he said and laughed looking at her. "The first time we met he was very very drunk and sai that I had a beautiful face that could be a shooting star in the day time"

Alex laughed. "Really?"

"Yes. I don't even know what that means and still don't" he said and laughed "but I love him. I loved him that very moment"

"Wow, you and Dad have some weird stories from the early years. That was awhile before I even was in the picture." She said thoughtfully.

"Actually it wasn't. It was around two days later we found you" he ssaid and hummed.

"Really?! And you just took me in like that!" She said amazed.

"Yep. I could see that your father cared for you very much" he said gently. "And I loved ou too from the moment I saw you"

She smiled. "I`m glad you guys did that. Who knows where I`d be now if you didn`t."

"we'll I am glad we did too" he sad and smiled happily.

"Hmm, I wonder what his family is like." Alex said thinking about the guy who asked her out. "He never really talks about them."

"I am sure it will give you something to talk about then" he said softly smilng.

She looked at him. "I`ve asked him before Papa he always avoids the topic." She said with a worried frown. "Do you think he doesn`t have a family?"

"He had a lot of bad things happen in his family, I am sure he will tell you when you are old enough" he said gently at her.

Alex nodded. "Alright, I guess your right. I just can`t help but think about it." she said softly.

"It is very sad, it is underatandable why he doesn't he whispered gently.

"Yeah I guess a lot of people wouldn`t want to talk about it. It`s kinda like how I don`t like talking about my death." She said relating.

Landon nodded and smiled kissing her head. He pulled up to the house "Go show dad"

She nodded and got out of the car and got her stuff out of the car before getting out of the car.

Ayla looked at her watch and noticed it was getting late. Her mind was in whirlwind. How could all of these people from her dreams be real. Stuff like this only happened in books and movies not in real life.
